I'm kind of half-assed in a multitude of programs, so I'm sure there are several ways to do this. I have no tutorial, but they way I did it was... Found a photo with good light to dark characteristics. Brought it into photoshop and adjusted the levels to really black or really white. Brought it into CorelDraw which is similar to Illustrator. Traced the image into two colors. Colored both parts something random like yellow and cyan. Went to http://www.lipsum.com/ to generate a lot of text. Brought that text back into CorelDraw and made two copies. One colored black and one colored white. Power clipped the text into the cyan or yellow image. Selected "No Fill" on both colors, Slightly offset the two pieces to give depth. Put on violet background.
I really like this!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I may try to do another one down the road.
ReplyDeleteHey Andy,
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool. I want to try something like it. Was there, by chance, a tut on it? If not, any notes you want to pass to me?
Very cool.

So cool. And so many programs. Wow. I'm gonna have to chew on that for a while. Thanks for taking the time to type all that out.
